Chinese Chunk Yellow watercolor, like all the Chinese Chip watercolors, produces excellent color results on rice paper. Chunk Yellow is by far the best color to mix with Indigo to create all shades of green. It is easily softened with water in a small jar or dish.

How to Prepare Your Chinese Chunk Yellow:
Mix your yellow chunks with 1 tablespoon of water in a small jar and let it sit for 1 hour (or more). Use a mixing brush to smash the softened yellow into a thick liquid. If you have a large amount of chunk yellow that isn't dissolving with a single tablespoon of water, you can try adding 1 additional tablespoon of water incrementally.
